Zou Zou Boutique

A Night of Fashion.

Having been at an internship in New York for the past three months, walking into Zou Zou on my first day back had me smiling not only to be reunited with the Zou Zou girls and our awesome clients, (and, truthfully, THE CLOTHES,) but also because I learned Zou Zou would be participating in the Orlando Fashion Society’s “A Night of Fashion” at Maxine’s on Shine in the heart of Downtown Orlando!

Proceeds from the event benefited the non-profit organization, Dress for Success, and two casual looks and two evening looks needed to be selected for the show. With the end of summer approaching and fall just out of reach, we chose four outfits that combine the best of both!

First up was a breezy maxi. Not only is army green a huge color for fall, but the tie-dye and sheer details make it an easy go-to dress when you’re trying to look fashionable in-a-hurry. In keeping with its no-fuss feel, we paired it with a simple red lip and a neutral Rebecca Minkoff three zip, mini-mac.

With Florida heat dragging up through as long as the holidays sometimes, fur can seem like a ridiculous investment, but when done in vest-form and in a lighter color, it’s not only appropriate for our weather, but it’s one of the chicest ways you could wear fur! Knee-high boots and a sleeveless black dress completed the look, and not that you can purchase hair styles at Zou Zou, but isn’t her side-braid amazing?! (Thank you Nube Nove!)

For our two evening looks we couldn’t resist a snake-skin print, one in the form of these crazy cool parachute pants, the other with a colored dress in a hue that takes the print to a whole new level. Layered necklaces and a structured blazer are interchangeable for both looks, and though we choose these for our evening looks, they’re also perfect for wearing to the office then grabbing drinks after work.

Thank you to everyone who came and participated in the show, we were thrilled to be a part of it! Army greens, fur, parachute pants… summer, I love you, but fall I am so, so excited to see you.
